• Bronx Summer Walks, 167th Street
Location: Bronx, New York. 167th Street (From Gerard to Cromwell)

Time: 12pm until 4pm
Dates: Saturdays June 20, 27, July 11
Host: Local Development Corporation of the Bronx

Description/ Contact Information: Come out and join the 167th street businesses and community as they demonstrate the true meaning of summertime fun and excitement. Hosted by the Local Development Corporation of the Bronx this event will have activities that will please all groups and ages. So please come out and enjoy the local food, music, culture, and so much more! This event is free to the public, and will not be something that you want to miss.

If you cant attend the June 20th event, there is no need to worry the event is happening on June 27th and July 11th as well. So feel free to come to one or come to all of them because in such hard economic times everyone can use a little free FUN!


• Summer Plazas, 5th Avenue

Location: Brooklyn, New York. 5th Avenue (from 48th Street to 52nd Street)

Description/ Contact Information: Come out and enjoy Sunset Park’s main business strip, filled with unique small businesses that represent the diversity of Sunset Park. Hosted by Sunset Park BID, this event will have activities that will surely please all groups and ages. There will be a street theater, chess tournament, arts and crafts for the children, various forms of entertainment, and Giveaways.

This event will take place for three Sundays out of the summer July 19th, July 26th, and August 2nd, so please come out and celebrate the summertime like it should be celebrated; with free family fun, and entertainment.


• Williamsburg Walks, Bedford Avenue

Location: Brooklyn New York. Bedford Avenue (From N. 4 TH Street to N. 9 TH Street)

Time: 12pm until 9pm
Dates: Saturdays June 6, 13, 20, 27 & July 4, 11
Host: Neighbors Allied For Good Growth and the L magazine

Description/ Contact Information: Promoting the enjoyment of Northside Brooklyn, both on Bedford Avenue and beyond. Walks invites the community to come together, shop, stroll, socialize and enjoy activities in an area unobstructed by traffic. Hosted by Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and the L magazine, this event is not to be missed. Activities will include: free community classes from the YMCA, local art from the Gallery Association, Local artist creating chalk art for the children, Urban gardening classes from the North Brooklyn CSA, and so much more! So please come out and join us for summertime fun that is bound to brighten up your day. Do not miss out on a chance to escape the annoying honking of cars and over crowed streets. The Sunday Scene on Knickerbocker, Knickerbocker Avenue

• Move About Myrtle
